The Role
As our Team Lead Internal Sales, you will drive both revenue growth and team excellence. Reporting directly to the Country Manager, you will balance active, hands-on sales execution with departmental planning, budget management, and operational oversight.
This role is equal parts hands-on sales and high-impact leadership. In addition to driving sales opportunities firsthand, you will recruit, coach, mentor, and inspire a talented internal sales team to hit ambitious KPIs within a supportive and winning culture.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership: Directly manage, coach, and inspire the Internal Sales team. You will lead hiring, onboarding, continuous training, performance evaluations, and career development.
Strategy & Planning: Translate regional departmental objectives into concrete, structured annual team plans, setting clear priorities and allocating resources effectively.
Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day work, optimize sales processes and "ways of working," and manage the distribution of customer accounts within the team.
Performance Tracking: Monitor team budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and maintain regular, structured team meetings and 1-1 sessions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts, escalate strategic concerns when necessary, and ensure a seamless customer journey.
Who You Are
You are a customer-centric leader who loves seeing people grow. You strike the perfect balance between strategic execution and hands-on, empathetic leadership. You thrive in fast-paced tech environments and possess:
Customer-Centricity: A deep passion for driving exceptional customer engagement and experiences.
Strategic Thinking: The ability to look at the big picture, spot trends, and translate them into operational strategies.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent relationship-building skills to work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Results-Orientation: A self-motivated attitude driven by meeting targets, driving business growth, and celebrating team wins.
Continuous Learning Mindset: An eagerness to stay ahead of SaaS industry trends, trust technologies, and product developments.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent practical work experience).
3+ years of managerial/leadership experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within a SaaS or B2B software environment.
A proven track record of nurturing and building strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, analytical mindset.
Great-to-haves (Nice-to-have, but not a must!)
